Happy Easter Everyone! This coming Saturday, March 31 from 1-3pm at the Proud Lake Powers Unit, the Friends of Proud Lake will be hosting a Easter Egg Hunt! This is for ages 1-12. $5 donation is appreciated. There will be games, craft, and an egg hunt. The Easter Bunny will be there as well. You can have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny for $2. 12:30pm starts registration. Hope to see everyone there!

Calling all bird lovers….tomorrow night at Proud Lake we have a special presentation on Michigan Owls. Come out and join us and our guest speaker Carol Fink for this informative event. We will have hot chocolate, tea and coffee for refreshments. There is no cost to attend but donations are welcome! Please dress for the weather as we will be walking out into the woods to try and spot an owl. Also, time permitting, we will have a hay ride to finish the night off! Come on out to Proud Lake Recreation Area Saturday, March 10th at 7PM. See you there!

This Saturday Night at 7:00PM-Owl Presentation.
Come out and join us in learning about Michigan owls. Our presenter will be Carol Fink. She will give a nice presentation on local owls and then we will take a walk into the woods to hopefully spot an owl or two. Please do not miss this special event. There is no cost to attend. Special Owl Presentation

Mark your calendars for March 10th. We will be having a special speaker, Carol Fink on owls. She will be giving a presentation on owls and then we will go out into the Proud Lake woods to maybe spot an owl. This special presentation will begin at 7:00PM, starting at the Annex in Proud Lake. We will be also having a hayride to complete the night. We hope everyone will make it out for this special educational night!!! Please dress for the weather.

Hayride and Popcorn Roast with Jeff Vallender

Our hayride and popcorn roast was a huge success last night for those who missed it. The weather was abt. 18 degrees. With the new fallen snow it was a nice night. The moon never peeked out but we had a wonderful time around the campfire eating maple popcorn while listening to Jeff Vallender tell us wonderful stories! We had 28 guests come out. A huge THANK YOU to Jeff Vallender for making this night a success!!

Hayride and Campfire Popcorn UPDATE

UPDATE: Tonights event has moved from the Annex to the Proud Lake Cafe. The cafe is the next building down from the Annex on the left hand side. Tonight should be perfect for a hayride and listening to wonderful stories by Jeff Vallender while enjoying some wonderful fresh popcorn popped over an open campfire!! Come on out and dress warmly for the outdoors. We will have hot beverages to help warm you up as well. Hope to see everyone out there tonight at 7:00PM.

Moonlight Hayride and Special Guest Speaker

We would like to invite everyone to come out and enjoy a moonlight hayride through the Proud Lake State Park on February 11th. We have a special guest speaker, Jeff Vallenger, who will be telling us amazing stories while you enjoy some popcorn popped over a campfire! This event starts at 7:00PM at the Annex. 3500 Wixom Rd., Commerce Twp. MI. Come out and join us for this wonderful story telling, popcorn eating, and meeting new friends. Panic at Proud Lake-3rd weekend

We had a very successful 3rd weekend for Panic at Proud Lake. We will be open one more weekend for the season so make your plans to come out this coming weekend! We open at 8PM and run until 11:30PM on Friday and Saturday. Sunday will be our only kid-friendly day from 1PM-4PM. We hope to see you at the park!

Panic at Proud Lake

The Friends of Proud Lake presents Panic at Proud Lake. We open at 8PM and last canoe is 11:30PM. There is a short canoe ride, a trip through the woods, followed by a hayride and shuttle back to your car. It starts at 2775 Garden Rd., Milford, MI. We invite everyone to come out for a fun event while supporting your state park. We will be open Oct. 7-29, Fridays and Saturdays. Only 1 kid friendly day, so mark your calendars for Oct. 30th from 1-4pm.
